I'm speaking at a summit for creatives tomorrow β€” and it's free to attend!

Join me for my class tomorrow! 😊

A colleague of mine, Monica Leonelle, is hosting a digital summit series called:

Create β€’ Expand β€’ Prosper

It’s designed for creators who want to build sustainable creative careers while the industry around us keeps changing.

A lot of creators are feeling the shift right now β€” platforms evolving, algorithms changing, new tools appearing, and creative business models adapting.

This event is focused on helping creators think through that transition.

The series is built around three themes:

Create

Strengthening your creative work and process.

Expand

Exploring new ways audiences discover and connect with your work.

Prosper

Building systems that allow creativity to support your life long-term.

You can attend for free during the live event.

My class is "Carving out Small Moments to Create Using Gentle Planning and Accountability Techniques."

It's all about understanding why we're busy, recognizing our current season of life, and how to make time for writing and creating no matter how busy (or chaotic) life gets.

And if you want lifetime access to the recordings or deeper resources, there are upgrade options available as well.

You can check it out here:

If you end up attending, let me know which sessions you're most excited about.

And, if you sign up to attend (free or paid)... let me know, because I'll send you a bonus goodie just to cheer you on for taking time for your professional development as a creative. πŸ™Œ πŸ’•

The 2026 Spring Retreats were a hit!

The Virtual

At the end of March, our virtual retreat was a hit! I didn't have time to share it right away, but I'm going to open up replay tickets paired with next year's ticket very soon. You'll hear about that in a different email though, and the special weirdness that sparked my idea for our 10-year annual retreat anniversary.

In-Person

Our in-person retreat held from April 22-26 in Natural Bridge, VA was excellent. It was everything I needed, and (from the feedback) exactly what everyone else needed too!

Not only did we establish a little morning walking ritual (for those who wished to participate), but we also develop harmony in the cottage.

First hours can always be a little rough after long drives (especially on I-81!) and as people get to know each other or are reacquainted. But soon, we were writing, editing, cooking, and laughing together. There were moments of deep sharing, tears shared as we unearthed some long-buried feelings, and comfort from our fellow writers.

And... progress was made all around!!!

  • Audrey: Finished Book 2 in my thriller series! πŸ’ͺ πŸ₯³
  • Emily: Finished Editing Book 1 in her fantasy series and sent it to her editor. Got over 1/2 way through edits on Book 2! 😱 πŸŽ‰
  • Tracy: Worked through significant edits and revisions on her thriller manuscript! πŸ™Œ πŸ’•
  • Allison: Completed edits/revisions on 2 manuscripts, sent them back to her editor, and started on the 3rd! 😱 πŸŽ‰
  • Olivia: Tripled the length of her mystery WIP! πŸ₯³ πŸ’•
  • Eve: Made HUGE progress on her memoir! 😻 πŸ₯³
  • Taryn: Wrote over 17,000 words and revised/edited an academic paper 🀯 πŸŽ‰
  • Maggie: Completed edits for a client and worked through an older historical thriller story to prepare for publishing πŸ’ͺ πŸ₯³
  • Sandra: Made excellent progress on her memoirβ€”and refined her plan for moving forward. πŸŽ‰ πŸ™Œ

I'll check in again tomorrow to share some other classes from the summit that are exciting (there are a lot!). 😊

'See' you then! 🌸

Audrey Hughey, Author and Planner Creator

Audrey Hughey designs planners, writes fiction, and works diligently to help her fellow authors. Although she currently writes horror and thrillers, she’s as eclectic in her writing as in her reading. When she’s not submerged in the worlds of fiction and planning, she’s caring for her family, enjoying nature, or finding more ways to bring a little more light into the world.
