✍️ ⭐️ We're writing this weekend! Are you joining us? 😃

Hi Reader,

Did you know that our 9th annual Virtual Spring Writing Retreat kicks off tomorrow? 🥳 🙌 💕

I'm super excited for a couple of reasons:

  1. We have 2 new experts joining us this year: Cameron Sutter (inventor of Plottr) and Maggie Beeler (Tropetails)!!!
  2. Our classes are heavily craft, technology, and mindset focused. They include not only walkthroughs and traditional classes, but also discussions, AMAs, and roundtables. You'll have conversations with a variety of authors at different ranges of the author-income scale, years of experience, and backgrounds.
  3. This year, we've cut one class time slot to make way for more writing. Why? Because this is primarily a writing retreat. I want you to make major progress on your current WIP. I'm talking thousands of words, this weekend. For that reason, I've scheduled over 13 hours of dedicated time for this retreat. 9 am - 1:30 pm each day, Friday - Sunday. If you can't join us tomorrow, you can still get a whopping 8-9 hours of dedicated writing time when you join us this weekend.

"I don't need an event to write."

But some of us do. Some of us have family obligations or get easily distracted by the usual chores and non-writing habits when we don't have the guardrails of an event as an "excuse" to focus on our writing.

If you're like many of us other writers - a parent, a caregiver for family members - then this is your excuse to focus a little more on yourself for one weekend.

And if you schedule 1 hour a week or month to catch up on classes that you missed (or that you want to re-watch), our replays can keep you moving forward for the rest of the year.

I've got one final code for you to use at checkout when signing up for our virtual retreat: SPRING30

What did last year's attendees say about our Virtual Spring Writing Retreat?

The retreat is a small investment in your writing. You will meet and learn from other writers at different points in their writing journey. The video replays allow you to attend every session even if you can't attend live.
This retreat is a place where you can not only learn the craft and process of writing, but also find the inspiration to create and the encouragement to overcome the doubts that can hold you back.
There is something so rejuvenating about coming together with a group of authors. Having the retreat virtual just opens the door to so many attendees that may not be able to travel. After every session, I have so many ideas and tips to apply to my author life!
This is the inspiration and community you need to refill your soul for writing.
The ATA Virtual Spring Writing Retreat is a fantastic way to connect with other writers and learn the ins and outs of writing and indie publishing.
An inspirational, fun, informative weekend--just the perfect boost after a long winter!
This retreat is equivalent to a writing conference. I have to rely on the recordings because I couldn't attend all the sessions. My brain and my heart are full. I've made friends, I've learned things, and I'm ready to sit and write.
You will learn things that will inspire you and help your writing, but more importantly, you'll find a writing family to support and encourage you.
The ATA Retreat always fills my well every single time. Take time for your writing life!
For the price, the quality of presenters, and the variety of content offered, this three-day virtual retreat is absolutely worth it. For me, the deciding factor was that the cost includes having all the sessions recorded so I can view them later. Even though I was too busy that weekend to attend most sessions live, I knew I could still benefit from all the workshops when I played back the videos.
A friendly, casual retreat that will lift your spirits and get you fired up in your writing career. Like an energy drink for those of us who are losing our steam in the chaos of our world.
If you ever needed questions answered about the book writing/launching process or just that extra encouragement, this retreat is for you.
You can't get a lower risk, higher reward investment in your writing journey than this affordable, transformative virtual retreat.

When I asked what I needed to do to make sure it's a no-brainer to come back in 2026, they said:

  • It's already a no-brainer....lol.
  • I love you guys!
  • It's already a no-brainer!
  • It's a no way would I miss
  • Get the content you'll get at a conference from the comfort of your home.
  • Nothing. I'll be there!
  • It's a no brainer now because of the price, so thank you. I signed up!
  • When have I not attended?
  • It's always a no-brainer

These survey responses made me laugh, smile, and blush with pride that I've created something that people always look forward to coming back to. 😊

Here are some of this year's classes (outside of our extended daily writing sprints):

There are 17 classes total, and there will be replays for everything except the editing hot seats (to protect the IP of those submitting manuscripts).

So, what do you think? Will you join us this weekend?

I hope to see you there! If not tomorrow, then Saturday and Sunday. 😊

Warmest Wishes,

Audrey

Hi Reader, Today is the final day for the Early Bird Discount on tickets to our 2026 Virtual Spring Writing Retreat. This isn't the last day you can buy tickets, but it is the last day you can get the biggest discounts. Have you considered the old adage about insanity recently? It goes something like, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results." I like to contemplate this saying at the beginning of each new year, and more so as I emerge from winter...
