Ooops - Correction 😬 RE: ❄️ A Little Writing Retreat, and a Youth Charity πŸŽ„

Quick Correction

I thought that I had deleted the "Discounts" block entirely. The AUDREYH30 code expired last week and is no longer active.

The current code for Lulu orders is MYPROJECT15 for 15% OFF.

A long weekend writing retreat...

I spent last weekend in Natural Bridge, VA with a writing buddy. We walked, we drank coffee, we completed some edits, and we made progress on our manuscripts. It was an incredible trip, and we might just have a shared historical project on our hands as a result!

Yes, yes, I know! I don't need yet another thing on my plate, but we couldn't help it. She's a journalist, I'm a historian, so we get easily distracted by shiny new projects. 🀣

On Friday, I drank WAY too much coffee, but I also got to walk around the snowy winter wonderland of Natural Bridge State Park with Emily before it all melted. The snow came on Thursday evening, thick and sticking, but had melted almost entirely by Sunday morning. It was the perfect weekend to get snowed in. 😊

Most retreats involve a larger group of people, but I think small writing retreats are excellent too. I needed this pretty badly, especially since I didn't go to Las Vegas this year.

Whether you're with a group, with a friend, or all alone, sometimes a couple of days away is the cure you didn't know you needed.

πŸ˜‡ Let's Plot for Good πŸ˜‡

Plot for Good is the charitable arm of Plottr, born from founder Cameron Sutter's belief that stories have the power to transform lives. He has always found ways to give back to the community and serve the people around him, and now as an organization, he and his company can serve people on a grand scale.

Just as Plottr helps writers of all ages bring clarity and structure to their ideas, Plot for Good extends that mission to the next generation. Plottr supports youth writing and literacy initiatives, providing young people with the tools, confidence, and imagination to share their own stories.

Plottr's first partner in Plot for Good is Costmic Writers, a national 501(c)(3) that uses creative writing education to build children’s literacy and communication skills. They have served children in 40 states and 18 countries.

Only 33% of US children can read and write at grade level. Cosmic Writers believe the key cause is that few children find ELA to be engaging, and their goal is to change that. By teaching core skills through exciting genres ranging from science fiction to slam poetry, Cosmic Writers helps students to find the joy in writing and thus become self-motivated to develop their skills.

This holiday season, as Wicked: For Good takes theaters by storm, join with Plottr to Plot for Good as they raise funds for their charitable partner, Cosmic Writers.

From Giving Tuesday through the end of the year, every purchase of Plottr Lifetime from this site will give $10 to support young writers across the country. You’ll also have the option to add on an extra donation, helping encourage and equip the next generation of storytellers.

Then, for every $1,000 raised, Plottr will donate a lifetime subscription of Plottr to Cosmic Writers, ensuring their mentors have access to the tools they need to empower student voices.

Together, we can help create brighter futures, one story at a time. One kid at a time. For good.

The Ultimate Plan-Write-Publish Giveaway!

Have you heard the news? I've partnered with some amazing people to offer over $2700 in prizes as part of my Ultimate Plan, Write, & Publish Package Giveaway! πŸ₯³ πŸ™Œ πŸ’•

In all, there are 28 prizes, with the Grand Prize being a publishing package - Custom Book Cover, Editing, Proofreading, and so much more!

The best part is that I'm offering HUGE bonus points to people who share posts about my planners. All entries will be verified, and I've set it up so the system can't be gamed by using email referrals as entries. That system simply isn't fair to people who are trying to participate honestly, so it's instead focused on engagement, interaction, and sharing on social media.

I thought it would be a great way to kick off 2026! 😻

I hope you'll take a shot and enter! 😊

Talk Again Soon
I'll have events to share! πŸ₯³

My next update will come before next week, but I promise to keep it short, and it'll be worth it.

I've been hammering out the final event schedule for December, trying to make sure I'm creating enough free events for everyone to enjoy while also honoring the ATA members and those who preordered my planners with exclusive events just for them.

πŸ˜… It is a tricky thing to do without being super redundant.

Talk again soon!

Warmest Wishes,

❄️ Audrey Hughey ❄️
